Somewhere in Mexico there’s a field of dreams …
and somewhere in those fields, there were three gringos who got together to play some tunes and drink a little beer and tequila. What started as a weekend fling has become one of the most popular bands among retirees, ex-pats and visitors to Mexico. Based out of the Lake Chapala Riviera, just south of Guadalajara, The TallBoys Band notoriety began with one song and a video
which offered a very different perspective on life and living in Mexico. One song led to another and eventually the release of their first CD entitled "Somewhere in Mexico" which is now available on iTunes and CD Baby. This group has become a favorite among retirees and aging Baby Boomers who live or visit popular tourism and retirement destinations like Ajijic, Puerto Vallarta, and San Miguel de Allende. Their songs reflect the spirit of a generation that has redefined the norms of society and will probably redeifne our ideas of "retirement" as well.who are attracted to living in Mexico. Their music has even crept across the border and can be heard on radio stations throughout the US, Canada and around the world.
